Always amazes me how people can try and find the controversy in tragic events like the one today. Shows how truly insensitive society has become today. Maybe wait to try and stir up some argument until they have caught who has taken innocent lives and the families have had time to grieve a little. Im not sayin dont have an opinion im saying get all the facts before you go ahead and assume things and voice your thoughts when the time is right.
Now obviously this is a sports blog so there is a side to this story some ppl are going to find very ignorant. But i feel its a good example of the point im trying to make. The bruins cancelled there game tonight. The celtics cancelled there game tomorrow. At a time when they easily could have filled an arena and tried to move on they took the high road. They chose to let the ppl of boston mourn as a city. At a time where you could argue it would be good for ppl to come together for a joint cause to cheer on a team they chose to let a city mourn, not to distract them.
The events in boston today are tragic, upsetting, and infuriating all at the same time. More unnecessary death at a time when there should be more ppl trying to come together, trying to prevent these events. At an where VIP attendees were families of the newtown victims, they now have to deal with more tragedy and uncertainty in their lives. Yet some ppl still just want to argue. They dont care that ppl are hurting, they seem not to care that ppl have lost limbs, lost function of body parts, and 3 ppl have lost their lives. All some ppl want to do is argue. Im not sayig we should all be shattered, im saying that whether you have an opinion or not save it until the time is right.
In saying all this my thoughts and prayers go out the everyone affected by the bombings today and thanks to everyone who went sbove and beyond to do what they could to help.
